motor id

I bought a omc 235 but it has a 225 hood on it is there a marking or something where it says what hp it is on the motor?:confused:

Look for a Welch plug (frost plug) on the motor and it will have numbers in it telling you exactly what you have.

Many times they don't match like on mine. I have an XP bottom half with a Johnson powerhead.

E for Evinrude
