Twin 225 johnson v6, complete stock rebuilds. Installing the 2.7 heads this winter, would be happy to get low 80's when finished. Fast enough for me !

had a 23 great boat ride well handles afternoon slop 2 - 3 footers easy we used to fly across lake tomahawk in afternoon at 90 in 3 footers when all the ski boats were idling along looking funny at us probably thought we were crazy with 225's should get close to 90 light on fuel it likes a good head wind 15 mph or so frees up the hull little positive trim down wind its like a pontoon. have fun

Launched yesterday for one last run....53 degrees & sunny. I know what your saying, had 2
footers in the harbor....was a nice ride at 70.
Do you have any experience with the 2.7 heads on the 225 ? I'm going to install them this winter but I would like to go one stage at a time. I know I have to re-jet even if I don't gut the air box. Any idea what jet size I should run if I don't gut the air box ? Right now motors are complete stock rebuilds with good parts. Top 4 high speed jets are 64D, lower 2 are 65D.

What kind of set up was on your 225's ?
I would love to get 90 but don't think I would use it. Sounds like your run was a rush ! Had to look impressive.

That's a little much for me on a 23ft.
I will be real happy with 80

That boat will be great to run the river with in the early spring. When I was a kid we always had boats at Saugatuck yacht service and Pete and Alex would come by in the 18 skaters wide open, race down to Denison's, turn around in the cove and run all the way back up to Sargents at 75+. I would stand out at the end of the slips in front of the Elbow room "it was the best vantage point for that straight away" then ride my bike up to Coral Gables to watch them on the their return pass. You need to take it over to Hutchins lake in Fennville and stir that place up a couple times-my wife has family with house there. That is a really good looking color scheme on your boat.

Thanks Joe...
I'm at the cove about every weekend in the pontoon
My last run of this year in this boat I ran from just past Denisons to yacht service...got 75, what a blast

I liked the boat because of the colors, the interior layout and no port holes in the hull. I didn't see very many without.
