gary I sent you a pm on this you not get it ? I don't have the #s but I think I have a 115hp block I can measure same as a 140hp he can open the ports up and square them off but do not raise or lower them for what he is doing. It would be very easy to make that 85hp a 140hp as its a 3.5 inch bore block .With the 1-5/16 carbs with 67-68 main jets a bubble back exhaust and the port work its a 140hp easy build and he wout have to mess with the tuner LEAVE THE TUNER STOCK than he will have a great motor for his application.

I didn't see the pm Ken.....I told him what you told me on the phone( not the tuner as I will pass that along) and FMP was lookin for the port timing #s in case he didn't have the big bore to compare to.

Lucky I did not scrap it yet.So 115-140hp are the same ports. If you look close you see the ports come close to each other only about 1/16 th on an inch between them intake and exhaust. So intake : top of cylinder to top of port 2.100 top of cylinder to bottom of port 2.950 exhaust: top of cylinder to top of port 1.750 top of cylinder to bottom of port 2.635 that's inches and thousands your over seas so if you want metric you convert it.If you just make the ports round you got 115-140 stock ports if you make them square it will breathe better than stock.Dont raise or lower the ports or you will end up with a new anchor.Do all the mods and that 85 hp will come to life big time.Hope that helps.

Guys call LA sleeve and talk to the tec line guy. He can send you the blue prints for what ever sleeve you want to compare what ever.

You don't gots to get that technical man.Just do what I posted and be done with it.Sure you can get la sleeves blue print and your sure not going to port that motor by hand to the exact dimentions so write a cnc program for your cnc machine and get it exact or just port it and have a good motor the cheap way ? JMHO no harm intented.

Not bad , we're pushing 30-35knots. What's the blow down on the 140?

Guess you're assuming all blocks are identical deck height

Production blocks Man who cares we are not trying to make a full out race motor? he just wants to make his 85hp get some spunk easy to do with little effort and coin If you don't get it START A NEW THREAD BRO WE CAN GO FROM THERE.

FMP
11-20-2017, 10:29 PM
I get it, you don't know the #s. Isn't that what this thread is port timing. If the block you measured has a deck 15 taller and maybe the ports were cut a bit off spec that could add a few degrees of duration on his build. It was posted don't raise ports. :leaving:

Yeah but its been before he just wants to do a cheap omc build for his motor that's the thread period. If you want to get a new one do your own thread.???

I think he wants a good running motor not an anchor.
