I run mine spinning out, the dock manners are way better, didn't see a lot of speed diff.

I run as close to -0- toe as I can get. I used to watch the cavitation burns on the lowers and felt that no turbulence equaled no drag.

One concern with running perfectly aligned is if there is any slop in the tie bar bolts you can get chatter. May or may not hurt anything, just something to consider. I always liked a touch of toe-in on submerged props (wider at the end of the prop shaft) to put the tie bar in tension. C/R surfacing props will provide their own preload, so lined up would work. Sorry for the sermon here, but recently had to discuss this in a deposition.
