Looks good till you see the 385 pounds figure......Still will have a lot of applications that it excels at.
Very cool design, but so complex. The manufacturing costs have to be double a conventional engine.

I wonder if it makes EPA California regulations?
( whatever that is for a diesel, the Merc one doesnt anywhere)

I can see it being used for tenders and such on yachts, where they don't want to carry gas, also a Yamaha 4 stroke 50 weighs 280 lbs.
