When I was racing in the 80s hull changes made things interesting. Hydro Stream was fast but unpredictable (still is in flight) The HST came along too late but was a good boat. Allison was and always has been a great hull yet for a while it was outgunned on the IOGP circuit by Laser, a 19 foot V that was surprisingly fast for its size and turned very well. Joe Burgess was a monster in that boat. Next came a modified Tunnel that may also have been a Laser. It was very fast and I thought cool looking. It seems the very next year that boat disappeared and was replaced by the Mirage and then the STV. The Sleekcraft boat was fast but had to be flown like the Stream. Kim Howard was badly injured in that boat. The Baker Rally Sport was a great boat in the hands of a couple of drivers from California Gold and the guy who built fast Evinrudes. There was also a pop off of the Sleek but it was shorter and never gained much traction before this class started to fade. Are there any of these boats left out there? Just curious. One of my favorites was the 20' Allison with the twin slanted 2 litre Mercs. I am really curious about the laser modified tunnel I have not seen one in many years.

You can go to the boats under 20ft forum and find several Laser LTV`s. Narrow dash LTV is the same as pointy nose STV.

I think you are talking about the GMT. It was a shorten Stoker. There was for sale on here about a year ago or so.
