I have tried to remove a bottom/main jet on my johnson v4 D2 carbs.
I had a screwdriver almost the same width as the "Homemade" jet removal tool that's on the web.
Problem is that the "almost" was not good enough now i have a stuck jet :(
Need help on trying to get this out. I dont have any easy outs small enough to get in.
I am very wary of drilling it but if it comes to it i will.
Is there a way to insert something in to the jet to remove it ???
Help guys

A left handed screw is about the best thing next to an easy out.

The square shank of a small hand file. Bang it in and it is hardened steel. Use some heat to help.

that is a great idea, very similar to some new easy outs.
I will remember that one

It may be worth investing in the correct tool for the job. 317002 is like $25, each wrecked jet costs about the same.

And yes to the heat - if water got into the float bowl the brass jet and pot metal bowl do not like each other from a galvanic perspective.
