Need set of carbs for 2.5 175 - tried a set of WMV 18s - no go- I have several sets of 16s - I am sure these would be too lean-

wmv 18s any good and for sale the 16s are fine rejetted to 78 drilled out to that

Nobody I could find but mother merc has the jets in stock-
yes - I would sell the 18s - they are clean with new gaskets-
Also have a couple of sets of 16s I would sell
16's would be perfect on 175 up the main jet couple numbers

ive had james P. resleeve every small chest 150/75 i rebuild to a sleeve thats no idle relief notch and some where between 175 and 200 port map, i dont rebuild carb motors as a general rule but ecu buying in 2017 is very iffy at best, so i did a couple carb motors with these on them i put 16s on um drilled out to 78 they were 74 it runs really good and small exahust chest gives these things a killer hole shot it work great for these Texas guys with the 20ft champion and ranger who have 200hp and it wont blow yer cap off taking off how much for 18's

If the 16s will work why do you want the 18s?

16 for a 150 or 175 18 for a 200hi speed jets lot bigger, these would not run on the 175 ?? what was it doing

Both 18s and now a set of 4s doing same thing - bogs and dies at 1500 rpm when acelerated in gear - tried pumping bulb- no effect- hit enricher, stumbles worst- but right after doing that I can get it past 1500 rpm hump- powers up fine into 4000 plus range-I was able to repeat this senario multipule times- I was testing this in gear on trailer- so I chickened out to go much past 4k for fear of a "hey bubba- watch this moment"

i have some 18s now that have been rebuilt and cleaned ultrasonically in my fuel injector vat they were clean idled great but on the water it would not take off period:rolleyes: so i came back to shop put another set on that were setting on shelf forever they ran great so obviously im no carb guy in fact there not many people who know me who don't know i hate carburetors im a efi guy, i sold a 200 efi to a guy down here it ran for about a month and started squealing i though center mains were not oiling so i rerouted and changed bleed lines because it only bleeds fuel at idle after that its down the hatch no fuel through bleeds i wound up replacing power head for customer took it apart only thing i found was a broke sealing ring over center main changed that put it back together it never made a sound so go figgure

On the water now, idled out of Marina ok- throttle down
Seemed to be great - ran up over 50000
Then trouble returned - stumbles at 2000 - once over that it will run to 5k
It is missing some.
I guess I will change packs and Coils.
Seem to be some heat enhanced issue
