I will be making my third trip to lOTO in 30 days if she holds her course- The Islands are getting blasted right now and my buddy said that it reminded him of Hugo "not good at all".

The hurricane guys are saying Maria will miss Florida completely. Bermuda may have a problem tho.

Still too far off to write it off and it's still headed in our general direction. When it slows down and turns right, then I'll feel a little better..............

...Exactly. This 6 day out cone crap does'nt mean anything. All you can do is wake up everyday, and see where it is. My experience has been, that these things are unpredictable in course. The meteorologists are simply following it like the rest of us.

Yep, irma was a east coast storm for sure several days out. We saw how that worked out....
another good loop showing water vapor , add in the SST sea surface temp and it's right in the warm water 31*C

She's turned north enough for South Florida not to worry............. so long as she don't make a hard left like Andrew did.

If you've been watching the loop , north east gulf has had an upper level low formation the last couple days. Counter rotating upper winds. Almost looks like it's drawing the storm in .
