Needle bearing grease

I am putting together a mariner 175 HP, with the storm going on in Florida I have no idea when my needle bearing grease will show does anyone no what else I can use. I have read Vasaline will work fine is this true. Anything else out there I can use.

I need something to hold the needle bearings in place for the wrist pin assembly, my needle bearing are loose not in a cage.

Vaseline will be fine. Will melt out almost immediately.

The last time I was in Rite Aid I asked for a box of latex gloves and the biggest jar of vaseline they had :) I love the look that request gets.
