Chrysler 115
nice drop of paint gone on there,
Good few coats of a bright colour make the motors look much better.
I hate my black block, looks proper yuk.

Have not seen a west bend never really knew anyone who ran one. I remember them.

west bend Chrysler same thing . west bend sold out to the Chrysler motor company and they just called the motors Chryslers.
that orange motor is exactly the same block as a Chrysler 130hp, easy to see by the dog bones on the side of the block.
west bend Chrysler and force only ones I seen with the dog bones.
just glad to know its not a nasty black Force block been painted, would be a shame to waste that amount of paint.

that motor with a few well placed decals could look like a little evinrude G2
west bend were good designs in their day, and were right at the top with modernisation, Chrysler just didn't bother looking forward.

looks nice and neat in that orange livery.

Thought exactly the same with G2 first time I saw it. CHRYSLER changed that motor quite a bit. Bore stroke, exhaust and other differences as well as full case , carbs, stuffing blocks reeds etc ..... turned it into the 105 then more.
Your familiar with the looper V6, not forward look.

Back in the 60's, I had a West bend on my mini-bike. (1 cyl.) ;-)

I remember a TigerShark on a decent hull way back when. It ran strong and if I check it might still be around.

maybe thats why none of us like the G2 , in the back of our minds its a an old Chrysler ( couldn't resist it)

seriously that old West Bend /Chrysler is a good looking motor, especially for its time is was way out there.
mercury had their chrome bits etc, but that tiger shark has some very smooth lines to it.
would not look out of place on a modern boat at all.

that orange block is very nice, seen there is a couple of red blocks on another topic on here, they also look very nice.
Amazing what a nice drop of engine paint can do.

did you sand blast it before painting or just clean it up ?

FMP

He usually media blasts , not my motor .

it does look good.

I have a sand blasting cabinet and seeing this block look so good is giving me ideas ha ha

Just make sure you clean clean clean all media from behind intake stuffers blocks or better remove them prior. Wait, going to need to find you a CHRYSLER first.lol

Back then they(West Bend) were one of the hot motas in cart racing.
