Anyone ever widen the OVAL exhaust port on Later omc 56 cu in motor ?

1995 oval port Evinrude 56 cu in triple.

I know that the Oval port can be raised to the exhaust roof as in the sst60 spec, but can the oval port be widened /
of so by how much ? and would this be from top to bottom or wider at top than the bottom ?

and what extra gain would widening the port give ?
