View Full Version : how to post a video here from my camera?

ok so I gots a Nikon Coolpix s3300 camera I take a video and load it to my computer and can watch on my tv.Now if I try and email it to someone or try to post it here on s&f it will not let me do it any help please?

You'll probably have to open it with a video editing program (might even have gotten one with the camera) and "convert" it from it's "raw" format? Or you can upload it to Youtube and let them do most of the work: https://www.youtube.com/upload ... then post the link to your youtube video here.

(The camera will play it's own raw video on whatever you connect it to, but you usually can't share the "raw" video by computer or web browser.)

Well dave thanks I loaded on youtube and sent it to me via email 2:30 min video took 45 min to load? Now going to try to put it on s&f. Cant seem to find the youtube link?

The "control" you want is this thing that looks like a movie strip:

Then paste your url in the box that opens.

yeah dave I got that but than it comes to type in a url but cant get to youtube to load it?

In youtube, right-click on your video while you're watching it... and then click "copy video url" and insert that in the box here.

cant believe it worked? Thanks dave now I can get a video of the boat running that I posted birth of a omc 12 inch mid in technical section hopefully this weekend.

In short if RJ has a better say gopro it would be better than a camera video from shore?

On the first one, you can move around with your mouse and look where you want... up, down, back... (there's a compass straight above you if you look up).
