Bob's nose cone mod?

My 15" motor is a bit high on my 18 Action. I cant lower it down any lower, and I am having water pressure issues.
Will plugging off the two outside holes on my Bob's nosecone help get more water into the engine?

Possible, but I'd be careful. I plugged 2 on the feed side of the prop and stuck a piston on a slow right hand turn due to roll and open pick ups came out of the water. The bobs pick ups are too far forward on the cone for this mod if the motor hieght is really high. The pick ups need to be farther back on the case to plug the outside holes, I learned the hard way

Bob's makes a transom mounted pickup. I just put one on a big Suzuki and it works well but do not use regular water hose. The Suzuki is a 250 and it sucked the hose closed so we have to switch to a reinforced braided line.
