I bought a set of rods for a 260 I'm putting together (Part# 644-818141) and was wondering if there was any way to tell if they have the hi-po rod bolts in them? The bolts are stamped "F-C" on them.
These rods DO NOT have the oil holes in the top nor or they slotted in the bottom cap but I was told these are the hi-po rods??
Just trying to find out what I have/need???
Motor is going on a lightweight 17' bassboat turning no more than 7500-8000.

All the "F-C" rod bolts I have seen are production rod bolts and should not be turned over 7000 if you want it to live. Most guys use sps or arp rod bolts. Be warned, they are quite expensive. $15 a piece or so (x12 for 6 rods)
