Trying to help out a buddy of mine. Long story short I told him it needed new batteries cause it wouldn't start and didn't have any power. Batteries 5+ years old. It is a Phoenix Bass Boat. So he replaces all 3 batteries. Said it started up and ran for about 10 seconds then it cut off and wouldn't restart. Turns over but won't start. So he brought it over to me again to look at. First thing I noticed when I went to take the transom saver off and lower the motor the power trim was super fast! So I looked and tested with my meter and he acccidentally connected the "battery 2" switch to the wrong trolling motor battery and instead of 12v he had 24v going to the pro xs. Sooo......did he fry the ecu on the pro xs? Thanks for any help!
