what are you getting with the drag prop, RPM "S , MPH?

what are you getting with the drag prop, RPM "S , MPH?

With the 1.75 lower and drag 4 30p it's running 92 @ ~ 6,300 with 2 - 200 lb guys and full gas tank. Prop slip 10%. Alone obviously faster but I rarely go out alone for top speed runs. So rpm-wise a 32 would work and bump the mph up a few and still be solid in max power band (at the expense of hole shots and carrying heavier loads). I ran 91 consistently with the 28 promax I had on it.

Update - Just got 94mph @ just over 6,300 rpm the other day with the drag 4 (alone). So this tells me for certain a 32 would work if top speed is the priority.
If I was keeping it I'd probably try a 31 Pro Max pro finish. It behaved really well with the 28 Pro Max I had on it previously and having more wheel would bump the top end.

Several calls but still here - All reasonable offers will be considered.

Some have inquired about rough water handling - here is a video from Friday; it's really choppy and windy to the point of almost being hard to get decent video....these cats rule in rough water and they like it fast ----- lots of interest for the short time for sale and still here; all reasonable offers considered. - Thanks for looking!

TTT for the weekend - still some good boating weather left south of the Mason-Dixon line...hours are now ~ 421 ; probably more competitively priced now since I'm well under water for what I've invested in it. Going to miss this boat but surely enjoying it while it is still here!

This is one clean rig and has to be the best looking interior that I've seen in one.

Update 11/17/17:

Swapping the prop today to Brand NEW Mercury Promax 31P pro finish - loved the 28p Promax that was on here a couple of props ago but needed a bigger wheel. Went with Drag 4 30P due to + reviews on Liberators and squeaked a few mph out of it probably because of 2 inch pitch increase. Drag 4 is SOLD. The overall behavior of the boat (IMHO) was better with the 28 Promax (mid range, cornering, lift, porpoising). The Promax seems to really stay hooked up going through the curves. The extra bow lift from the cup and parabolic rake (per merc) is noticeable and what I'm sensing between the Drag and Pmax. Just some of my nu-bee observations.

Based on max rpm with the Drag 4 30, it should take this increase to 31P (another nice benefit of PMax--odd and half inch pitches) and still be just over 6k rpm. And, mathematically w/ the pitch increase, should be 95 or so top end (with 1.75 gears). And, God willing, still relatively strong in the mid range.

Testing today; Going to be 61 degrees, clear/sunny, 42% humidity, and wind out of the SE @ 6mph - I love the south!

Disclaimer - I do not work for Mercury Marine or have any other affiliation - just like these Promax props.

pics of the new wheel - boat will be sold now with promax 31p, not drag 4 as seen in other pics. Haven't been able to test absolute top end but got a new best top speed yesterday for 2 people
and full tank of gas and we just ran out of good water. Having gone from a promax to a drag 4 and now back to promax, i'm really impressed with these props. A little negative trim out of the hole and it planes fairly quick; mid range still good for a 31; corners on rails, quieter (through hub exhaust vs over the hub); and good on the top end.

do you prefer the 1.75 over the 1.62 lower, I would think you would get more out of the 1.62....

Depends on what 'more' is. I'm certainly no expert but my understanding is a 1.62 would be better if your number one objective is the TOP SPEED # because it would allow the bigger wheel needed to get there...but you'd sacrifice something with your hole shot and mid range with that big prop. I spend 95% of my time between 45mph and 65mph. I've only had a 1.75 so I really can't speak to the real world difference of the 1.62. Wildman or another guru would probably have an opinion on it for sure. Some guys prefer the 1.75 on Lib's from what I've seen in a few posts.

I haven't had a chance to do a solo run with this prop yet but estimating 96ish. With all of that said, this is the 3rd prop I've run and I'm very pleased with its performance across the spectrum of hole shot, mid range, cornering, and top end.

Boat still here - all reasonable offers considered. Still the lowest priced turn key Liberator currently on the market based on what I've seen.

Just lowered to $25,500 this AM (from $27k). There's still some negotiating room but not a ton. Give me a call please to discuss further; # in first post.
I'm not in a big hurry and will be patient for the right buyer that will appreciate her like I do.
