I have been looking forever for a 20ft Sleekcraft but nothing available. Just wondering if you can still buy a new one? I thought it was Carrea boats that made them?

Any info would be handy.

Thanks

these are nice boats ,but built like a tank-"HEAVY"takes a lot of HP to make them move

You can contact Ron Hill on "Boat Racing Facts" web site and he can tell you all you want to know about Sleekcraft Boats. I know that they experimented with many bottom and transom changes back in the Mod-VP days and could make them much faster than stock.

Contact Roy Lewis. He is not far from you and he sold Sleeks for years. Maybe he still does.

I owned a 20' Sleekcraft. Great looking boat however needs a lot of setback to run and they are heavy boats. Also not real good in rough water. Other than the great looks of the boat not real high on my list of nice boats.

Still a few running around out here and Ron Hill would be someone to talk to about them like Da Bull stated above. Some cool info on this site: http://corboatracing.com/

Sleekcraft closed several years ago. I know they sold some of the molds to a company in Havasu but can't remember the name right now.

The pic above with the Yamaha has a different bottom, John did a lot of work to it to get it to run flat instead of nose high

My old Sleekcraft had to run nose high.

The way I heard it, Roy Lewis owned the molds for the 20 tunnel and outsourced the build to someone in California.

No Shockwave has an old Baker mold that Caliber 1 also had.

I believe it was Carrara boats made in California.
