They are comming back to my area!

I have seen three Eagles this past winter, the first "real live" ones I have ever seen!

Hey Waterwings, I wish I could send down a few hundred. They're like pidgens up here. I just look out my window and see a half dozen. I'll step outside and take a picture. Beautiful animals!!
There are eight Bald eagles in this picture. Can you find them??

Saw one last summer on the shoreline tearing into a fish...

We also have an Osprey that visits every summer. They're like pigeons in Florida, but not a lot of Eagles or Osprey around here usually...

We've got a couple of nests out on the old Ponce golf course that they want to convert to condo's. Somehow the fact that Eagles and Whooping Cranes nest there doesn't matter to the people that control the money and therefore everything else.

The St. Johns gets swarmed with Osprey every Spring. They nest in all the daymarkers and drive the Coasties crazy 'cause they can't even get close to the markers for maintenance. They are so awesome to watch.

We have Ospreys, Blue, and, white herions, and hawks, but these are the first Eagles I have seen.

Alaska must really be an awesome place. To be able to see something like that just right out the window.

50 years ago we could see a lot of the beauty like that here in Florida. Way too many people here now though.

Around St. Augustine we still have a lot of tidal marsh land and Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Swallowtail Kites and lots of other exotic birds. They PTB's with all the money are trying to pave it all just ike they did in South Florida.

Hope to live long enough and save up enough money to take one of those Alaska cruises. Just gotta convince Pattie that she won't actually freeze to death.
