Checked linkage to motor looks like all is good, when in forward gear there's no more room for it to go forward on motor

Is this a NEW sound on an old prop you've been running for awhile or have you just started running this prop?
More info would definitely help!

I doubt it. If the clutch dog jumped out it would clunk violently, not slip like a hub does. I think it has to be a hub. Does it do it with a different prop?

Yes I have a prop that was slipping and had a new hob put in and it still slips. Hard to believe it gets worn but for some reason a new hub didn't fix it.

What brand of prop if known? Some have hubs with rubber and steel pcs can make some noises and not slip. Power tech is one.

Props that high of pitch can be tough on hubs. As said hubs can fail, and not be repairable. I would borrow another prop just to compare. Hub should be real tight and hard to get in. And need to set at least 24 hrs before running after replacement.
