I think the boat was built by Jerry Baker. Tabb Bridges, an East Coast Mod-VP racer. Any old race pics of this boat would be neat. Thanks, Thaw Ripper. I think he had tiger head decals on it. Red and White boat 235 OMC motor!

Hey Ripper, Try to get ahold of George Fuller at Fuller's marine, I think he is a member of this board too.
His Brother used to Drag race that boat in the late 80's here in the MidWest...Was real fast in the 1/4 with a Mariner T3. That boat can't weigh but around 4XX# if I remember it right. At one time there was a plexi windscreen in front of the driver and cable steering.
Baker's are a very well built boat and light if needed. Before that 18footer he ran a 20footer with same motor. My dad still has a Mint RST bassboat.
Are you gonna restore it? Race it?
Post some close up pics of it.

Good luck,
jason

Hey, there are a few guys on this board that are making lightweight fiberglass seats. Try posting a message in the general discussion. You could also have them covered with snap in upolstery like the Allisons and my Mirage have.

good luck.

Did they ever maker a Baker RST inboard. I was on the train today and as we were flying by a traffic jam I saw what looked to be an RST with a blown v8 on it:confused:
would the be custom or did they do this?

Hey Jim,
I know Bill very well, he has been a friend of the family for many years. He has worked with my dad for over 20 years and we used to go racing with him in the 80's.
I think I saw a pic somewhere of you driving a baker back in the mod vp days, where were you from back then? got any more pics of your Baker Jim?
