Saw this on Mpls Craigslist. I made the 8hr round trip journey and brought home this boat. Its so cute I just had to have it. 5th boat now, how the hell did that happen?

I don't think its a Scat Cat, I don't think its a Cat(amaran). The bottom looks like a childs version of an STV Tunnel Hull, Sorta.
I don't know what year it is.
It is made of fiberglass.
It does have cable steering. Its works and its cool.
It was Red, you can see it down low in the interior area, The top half is painted while the bottom retains its black gelcoat.
Someone put a speedometer on it. How cute. LOL
Its only 8' long, set up for a Merc. I have the white merc controller in my truck.
Its as thin as a potato chip.
AND, you have to kneel down to drive it. What the crap?
Its got cool lines. My Grandson wanted to wash it so why not.
SO, WHAT THE HECK DID I JUST BUY? i think it was worth every penny of the $175 I paid for it.
I got a short shaft red stripe Merc 50hp maybe i can toss it on there.
Seems to have some pretty fancy lines and engineered curves to be some homemade thing. But then again.
Was there ever a sanctioned mini tunnel race class that you had to kneel down.

A good friend and his pop built a couple of seaflee type boats. Yours look very a similar to one he built from plans, no idea what plans. Don't think he ran more than a 20 Johnson on it but it was a blast. Good find no doubt. Great pic with your grandson washing it down.

Thats funny. I was just watching Sea Fleas on Youtube.
It could be a Sea Flea of some sort. If so, someone put some extra effort into the radiuses and curves.
