I have a new pump and regulator and cant get the pressure low enough ( 6 lbs for carb set up)...have tried it with the adjusting screw all the way out of thr regulator. The pump and the regulator are new...Seems like the pump is not by passing???any ideas...Thanks for the add!

It may be stuck. Look for a big screw in the housing of the pump. That is where the regulator is. If you do a search, I know I've posted pics of the assembly a couple of times. Sometimes they have shims on the spring, if so, just try removing the shims, if not, you may have to clip a coil off the spring, or try finding a weaker spring the same size.
HEY VANTAGE LOOK CLOSELY AT THE FLOW ARROWS ON THE REGULATOR AND MAKE SURE YOU`VE GOT THAT RIGHT. ALSO
THE REGULATOR SHOULD BE MOUNTED HORIZONTALLY ACCORDING TO THE GUY I TALKED TO AT HOLLEY

The boat was wired backwards , therefore the pump was runnin that way and takin the bypass out of the loop! Previous owner made the red wire ground and the black wire hot......go figure that one! But works good now! Did learn that Holley sells a low pressure spring for the regulator that really works better,it came with a rebuild kit to rebuild the regulator! Thanks Guys!
