Allison website says 750-850. Variables would include number of seats, side slide, cooler, production tolerance, ?

Naw,nut in.. like your thinking.Just used to driving a potato chip,so woundern what a real boat weighs. The backup boat weighs about 1250 ready for a driver.Just wondering how that stacks up against one of the higher performance V bottoms.Just trying to find out how fast a 12/1300 pound Ally is with a 280 is:D

My Xr2001 RR is 1290 with a 15" carbed 2.4 , with heavy group 24 batteries me @ 205ish helmet and lifeline no gas.
Its a 280 can so its a little heavier than a cut down 20". I could get it a lot lighter easily.

Thanks to all for the info.My goal is to get the 41 year old Switzer into the triple digits this summer. The bottom is closer to a Allison than a Hydrostream, pad is a little wider. Was running in the low ninetys with a tired 260'and a rotten transom with zero setup.Thinking a fresh 280 will getter done.Looking forward to dialing it in:D

Pics of boat? A 12-1300lb ally with a well set up 280 on top end will run faster than I would want to ru. In one lol
