Crank bearing dowel pin removal

Any special tool needed or can I heat the area up and grip it with something to try and twist out?

why would you want to remove it?

For some reason it was mared from before my time. I did a test fitting with an old crank and it will still it do its job now so won't worry.

I use Mapp gas torch to warm area then grab/twist with vise grips
