Anyone from south shore LI ever seen ?

A friend of mine in 72-73 got tired of his 135 merc on a 15' sidewinder cut the motor well droped in stringers and dumped in a 427 chevy with a jet drive. Has anyone seen or heard of it . The guy's name was woodie from around wantagh-lindenherst. I wonder if it still exists. scared the h*^*$ sittin next to the motor screaming like that.

is it green? every once in a while I see a green jet boat out there. not sure if its a sidewinder. do you have a pic?

Sorry can't remember was sitting in back next to engine plotzen that a rod or something was going to jump out into my lap the only thing I do remember was it was a two man boat used to go out of control with one person even with the jet pump suckin the boat would still get too high up on the V and start chine walkin. who knows if it's still around and what color it is now.
It was a SCARIE HAIREY BOAT for sure.
