I am new to all of this so bare with me (guidance is appreciated). I have what I think is an 86 2.4l 200hp carb merc/mariner. Will this intake above fit my motor? My idol is rough, and its a slug at low RPMS, but she runs great past 3k to wide open 5500rpm. Been thinking new reeds etc would help. This whole set up is nearly as cheap as new reeds.

Yes this intake set will fit , to my knowledge all the carb 2.4 intakes swap. Sending pics. Reeds that are chipped won't seal and low end and idle suffers. If your reeds are factory steel and a reed or pieces are missing I would check the cylinder for scratches. Fiber reeds don't tear up cylinders or heads. Not looking to get rich just trying to move some parts I can't use. Thanks Mike.
