1989 2.4L Bridgeport: ethanol fuel E10

New to Scream and Fly and Im sure this question has been answered and is buried somewhere in the forums.

I have a 1989 Vegas with the carb'd 2.4L Bridgeport Merc. Delaware fuels all contain E10...is it safe to run or should I be getting pure fuel from MD or another state?

Those motors required 100 octane when they came out in the 80's , its on their sale brochure . I ran aviation fuel back in the day .

There were 2 different carb 2.4's, the 220hp that will run fine on pump gas and the Mod VP that needs 100 octane. Do a compression test if its under 130 fine, 180 race fuel or av gas.
