The double was only 25' tip to tip, but the top of the take off was 8' high!
It's really cool when you realize you're not gonna make it, and you have to bail...

I have never crashed on that jump, but the 50' double (you can see it in the back ground) slammed me down one time after I added dirt to the landing and it was to steep of a down slope.
(edit) actually I think what you see in the back ground is when the 50' was a triple (small pile in the middle) just so I could say I had a triple, the take off of the (now) double is behind the landing of the BIG double.

a Tail-whip kind of thing can be done on a snowmobile. Seen it quite a few times.
as can a backflip, with the proper ramp. So far, jay quinlan, and jim rippey are the only ones who have.

I've never seen that kind of stuff done on one before, but up until lately, I haven't seen how far and big they jump them in Snowcross, thats pretty cool stuff!
When I was riding heavy (every day, and all day) the kinds of things you see now a days weren't come up with yet, (back flips, supermans, lazyboys, cliff hangers, no footed can-cans etc.)
I still love to see a great cross-up, tail whip, its still cool no matter how old it is.
Of course the first time I saw Mike Metsger land a back flip, I lost it!!! to cool.
