200 2.5 efi no fire

Mercury 200h.p efi 2.5L

Any idea where to start?

Wouldn't fire, then it fired and made it back to launch. Never fired again.

Unplugged keyswitch harness and jumped the solenoid still no fire on any cylinder.

Unplugging the harness from the key switch and no fire would eliminate the kill switch. Correct?

Don't count on it. There are a couple of different ways these are wired. Most go directly down the harness to the engine from the kill switch. Black/Yellow Striped Wire!
Disconnect it at the engine!

K. I disconnected at the motor. The main harness.

Do I need a DVA to test Stator? Would a trigger also act the same?

What year is your motor? Is the fuel pump cycling when you turn the key.

It's rare, but I have had an upper bearing get sloppy and allow the flywheel to wobble enough to touch the stator grounding it out. Check for any rub marks when inspecting it..jm 2cts.....
