Which hub are y'all using on a fat shaft Sporty?

I've been using the 840389Q06 but keep thinking the steel sleeved hub would be a little harsh banging stumps on a fishing rig!!!

I don't think you have much choice with a hi pitch prop on a fat shaft. Stay off the stumps is about it.

What about this 835258K1 hub? Is it worth trying?

Amazing that they keep coming out with new junk for your pocketbook!!!
I personally never had any issues with the original flow torque with the long ?Delrin? sleeve but the fatshaft changed all that.
As far as that goes the only time I ever had issues with the Skinnyshaft was back when I was pouring on the N2o!!!!! Now with the Fatshaft you just Bust Gears instead of twisting splines!!!!

If I was running thru-hub props, this would be used on my boat!

Start your boats in gear and you will have a much better friendship with your gear cases...

I have two of these. Shifts quite a bit softer. They don't come out easily so i am
getting one for each prop

I've never messed with Flo Torque props so I have a question out of ignorance. Is the metal high performance hub essentially like going to a solid hub prop? Like in the event of a prop strike the propshaft and the pinion are now the weak link?

With any fatshaft propshaft yes, teh hubs are all solid. even with this SSR HD, when engaged it is a solid metal to metal connection. The pinion is the weak like and is why 3 liter lowers like to grenade so much.
