Can someone please explain and show some pictures of Sea Star Hydraulic Steering Cylinder for Allison boats? I hear they are different from ones you buy from your local boat dealer. Just not sure what is different and what they look like. Thanks

They use the SeaStar "pro" model I believe. The 6345 cylinder.

I am having a problem with the set up on mine. I have very little trim because of the steering cylinder wanting to hit the jack plate. It is mainly when in shallow water or trailering my
Allison XR2002. Would buying an actual Allison jack plate solve my issues? And which set back works for these XR2002s the best?

What about lowering your jack plate down and raising your motor a couple of holes up?
What Robert said or just cut a little off the jack plate where cylinder is making contact.

Just raise the motor mounting height (where the motor mounts to the plate), leave the plate where it is on the boat.
