Mabey not quite a technical question, but it is about a motor,

I have several "fishing Motor" flywheels that someone wants to buy from me,

What is a fair price to let one or more to go for?

Hey John, when we retail used parts from the shop to a customer, we try to get 50% of retail price... ie: a $200.00 part sells used for $100.00, dealers get a little better break, particularly if they are repeat customers. I found that selling used parts on the internet is even more difficult... probably about 25% of new price is what people expect to pay...sometimes even less. It seems someone is always willing to sell a bit cheaper, but it all comes down to the quality of the parts and service... there are way too many horror stories about guys sending money and never receiving the stuff, or they get it and it's not as advertised, and then you cna never get 'em to answer the phone or return any communication... like the commercial says "don't be that guy" (btw.. I know you're not)

Used late model 9 or16amp V6 flywheels should be worth about $75.00 or so... early model ones, probably 40.00 to 50.00 if you're lucky, 40 amp versions should be worth about $100.00 on the used market, and of course the late model lightweight versions seem to hover around $300.00 or so.

Good luck

I called Merc today, and they said a V-150 or V-200 flywheel new was $333.95 for a 94 tooth (wheel only)

And a 135 (?) tooth wheel was $572 for wheel only.

Lite wheel was $915.

But that is what you get from a merc dealer!

John,
Those prices you are quoting are full list. I know of NO ONE that pays list prices for ANYTHING in the parts game............

Except us normal "street people" that have to go to the dealers, at least I have found this site where we can call on Jay or others for better prices than at the dealers.

So what should I sell them for?

Early (90) flexplate red 94 tooth 40 amp...$50 but I think that's a pretty good deal. Probably worth $75-$100 if he wanted 'ta squeeze me.....but, I'll buy more parts from the same fella when I need somthing else :D (which I always do  )
