Awesome video. As you pass through 128-130 it looks like you input a lot of starboard steering. Curve in the canal, air in steering, overcoming relief valve, or my imagination?

Not your imagination . I am trying to figure that out , the canal is straight , the boat pulls left and I am anticipating that and keeping it in the middle of the canal .

Hi Brent,I’m the proud new owner of an LCB Fastcat, I’m sure you’ve seen some posts ofit, it has a black hull with a Yamaha 300 VMAX. I’ve read quite a few of your posts and have seen some of your videosand understand you’re the Guru for making the LCB’s go fast:thumbsup:. I saw on a postwhere you have put a Mercury 400R on you Fastcat, how did things turn out?I have already sold the Yamaha 300 that came on my boat and am wondering whichengine I should go with, 300 XS or the 400R?
Thanks forany help you have, Jeff

Racemans boat like yours did the same speed but we didn`t get to ride along with him. That was cool. That much input on the wheel at that speed is a lot. I use to drive the same kind of STV w/nitrous and top speed in 1/4 mile was 121. We had string/pully race steering with no movement on the wheel at all. You may have some air. Loved the vid.

Jeff don't waste your time and money on the 400R I did not like it at all. I would go with the 300xs or Yamaha SHO with a Flashed box and adapter to run the Merc sportmaster gear case. Feel free to call me and I will discuss further . 954 673 1175

Problem is the big CI 2-strokes with big wheels will tear a 3.0 sporty in half. So does a 2.6l 4-stroke with a bunch of boost shoved down its throat. :leaving:

Congrats on running some big #s with that setup. I'd sure like to see you in full safety gear and a safety boat in your next video though - from what I could see in the video, if something went wrong that day, you wouldn't be here with us still. :(

That is about the fastest single engine pleasure outboard that I have seen running on line. I realize that there are faster race boats, but there not the same.
Also, your boat accelerates very well, even from 80 up. Bet there is no one faster around your area.
