So its been down there for about 52yrs. I'm just curious to know if it was finders keepers. What if 4 of us went over there and recovered it, would it be ours now? So if I recover any boat from the bottom of a lake, how long before it becomes mine. Just questions that intrigue me.

Here's a good place to start if you want to understand the concepts of marine salvage. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marine_salvage

Its by by no means simple.
