I think it was the Big Cat before this one, I met the guy thru a friend, he had **** a lower and would up @ my shop to fix it for the next days run.
I'm gonna say the guy I met was named Thaddeus, nice guy, his dad was a kick in the butt. If I remember right they did the race circuits with that boat for several years. I have no Idea who owned the boat before them.

Thaddeus was/is Riques crew chief and truck driver and I think he's the dad cause always remember him as a crack up. Don't remember his sons names.

24s and 28s will run the same speeds set up correctly and equal power. The 28 is just easier to do it with and is soon as it gets rough the four feet in length feels like you have an extra ten feet in comparison to the 24.

That is Warren and Doug Wright when we were testing deck extension lengths for my project. Doug milled foam inserts to fit on the nose and we made passes to see the lift difference. The one that we ran last caused us to run out of water pressure in about 30 seconds !!!-that was the combination we were looking for...

Sorry about that , what I meant was the engine height on the 24 was higher
and I had a lot of setup time in the 24 ,it's deff harder to squeeze the extra speed
out of the 24 vs 28 , I no longer have it also ,my time now will be devoted to the new boat (28)

Yep, that is the same red 24 as the pictures posted above. The pics. of it with the 15" 280s were before I tore into it and the picture on the straps with the 260s was the first day that we put it in the water "brand new". The boat had 3 additional owners between the time we got it new and the time that I got it back. There were only 2 24s made after this one and both are in this thread-1. the flat deck with 1/4 canopies and 2. the beautiful single in CA. that was built for Dan. Every 24 since then is NOT a skater-

Yea', we have made a few changes and its still in process. Doug is a pretty smart guy and I went on his recommendation of what he would do if it was his. Azmidlyf has some pictures of the changes maybe he will put them up.

No, that built up carbon area is for a twin ram tunnel tab. The motors are 300xs powerheads with 15" taylor mids, 300X cowls, on the new light weight Race Version Porta brackets. I won't be running in rough water so I am going to run the tab. We are pulling a lot of dead rise out of it, have added strakes up front and are moving the other ones around. There has been a ton of support added to the running surface, transom knees, and bulkheads tying into the deck (its going to be stiff) The goal is to have some acceleration and a decent top end when its all done.
