I've done a ton of buying using Paypal but until this past Tuesday I'd never had folks send me a payment.
So the paypal shows where the money received hit my PP account, but my bank that the PP account is connected to is showing NA' DA'. All this took place on the 8th (Tuesday again) & still no money. Maybe I'm overlooking something or maybe I'm just overlooking somethin  Its less than $60 so it isn't that big a deal till the wife puts a strangle hold on your fun money. Then it can get tense.
Talk to me, freq is clear.

Re Paypal : Paypal will not transfer funds into your bank account automatically. You have to hit the withdraw funds tab & request a transfer. Standard time for the transfer is 3 to 4 business days & is free, you can pay a fee if you need the funds faster. Hope this helps ! Scott :D

Alright here's the deal:
I had $55 hit my account from an item sold
& then bought something yesterday for $34
When I hit the 'withdraw' funds button, it showed a balance of $21 which is the difference of the two.
So the way it seems to me is that I can add money to that part of the account & withdraw from it till it runs out then it will start back to pulling from my regular withdrawal account???
Did you get all that? :) Either way, if you read the first two lines, I think I 've got it. Just please take a moment to decypher my writing. Preciate it. Jamie

PAy pal will "HOLD" your money until requested by you to "withdraw from there tool bar" it and place it in your bank account. If you bought another item from ebay or where ever and they accept pay pal the funds would come out of your pay pal bank account first, so if you had enough to pay for the item sitting in pay pal then funds would come from there. If you bought a 50.00 item and only had 25.00 in pay pal account the other 25.00 would come from your bank account to total 50.00. You can always leave a balance in pay pal if you like to pay of ebay items & such which isnt to bad, its like robbing peter to pay paul type of thing. I always leave 100.00 there for a rainy day of buying something I dont really need but have to have it sort of thing.

Daytona explained it excactly right . The money stays in your Paypal account to do with what you like UNTIL you request it to be transfered into your bank account . Scott :D
jusy a thought: if you buy AND sell on Ebay using paypal, the wife does not know where the "fun money" is to put a strangle hold on it.

Fish has got that right! And PayPal has a money market fund that makes more interest than just about anywhere else. So far, I have been very pleased with the way PayPal works.:D
