I finally put the laser in today and it ran for crap. Did 4 changes of plugs and got all the decarb out and then the miss was worst it would actually misfire and the right upper and lower cyclinder plug was carboned up and wet. Also when you tilt the motor up black fluid ran out of the top carb. I'm lost actually throws a cyclinder out after plug fouls out. Also the primer melted. Any suggestions, advice will be appreciated. thanks Rick

Float level could be set abit too high, needle&seat may be bad or have crap in it.. also whats your fuel pressure set at? and Have you had the carbs off? never seen a primer melted, the coil is only meant for intermittent use maybe it was stuck on for a while. Dave

I put kits in the carbs but I think you are on to something with the floats too high. Fuel pressure is a question I bought the pump used and it seems to be pumping alot harder then the one on my old 110 gonna change it. I spent yesterday trying to get all the decarb out at Haulover. When I got it home it actually sounded better on the hose. Thanks carbs coming off. On the enrichment valve it melted ran like tar over the air box that too might be shorting out got to find one they are like $200 new I gave them away when I had my shop. Rick

You can change the pressure on those pumps by taking the cap next to the outlet off and removing shims behind the spring,if none are there trim the spring down. I never ran the regulators allways set the pump relief pressure. I will look may have a primer layin around. Dave

Check to make sure the primer does not have voltage at the purple/white wire except when you push the key in. Constant voltage will melt one and cause it to run poorly.

Thank you Racer it melted all over the carbs and the air box. I did not get voltage it but it might be coming on when running for it looks like an empty pill bottles with black tar. I also replaced 2 coils that had melted. thanks Rick

Melted ignition coils usually means it been overheated, sorry don't have a primer here, dime a dozen till you need one .Dave

Thanks Dave don't know if overheated but compression is good it was stored in a hanger for over a decade. It was a race boat and was converted to a Grove beater got folding seats:D Comp hull with lots of dings but it is all I have almost running. It's gonna run one more time and if too thin going to put to rest and I will get the donzi up again. Habit not hobby!Rick
