need help real bad. 2001 150 efi merc floods so bad will hardly start when it does it will smoke so dad you have to keep it reved really high or it will die. Had it hooked up to two different DDT's and they say all seneors are ok. Vapor seperrator is not flooding or over flowing at vent. injectors are not stuck open . changed pressure regulator even tho pressure was 39 psi all the time. changed ecu with a known good one no change. sent ecu to rapair to be tested they said it was ok. now what the hell should i do. This thing is going to make me go buy a Johnson.

knew a guy that was having a flooding problem with a 260 and it turned out to be the ecu has a vacuum hose running to the fitting on the intake and that fitting was clogged up, cleaned it out and it was fine
not sure thats your problem but figured maybe something to look at?
anyone else got any ideas? i know this tech board could fix this :D
Cold Start Enrichener Circuit. Have you checked this. I aint sure how it works on your engine. Maybe someone here does. It may be that. Usually it is controlled by the start switch by sending 12 volts to the ecu to modify the injector pulse widths. It is controlled by pushing the key switch in, or by a signal from the starter solenoid signaling the ECU the engine is being started. In the later this is also based on engine temperature as well. Check proper operation of these functions.
