Plugged in a brand new wire harness on my motor. Brown/white wire should be the trim sender wire but I see nowhere to plug it in under the cowl. The SS has the remote trim pump in the boat. Could it be on the pump somewhere or what am I missing?
I saw no brown/white wire that matches under cowl and some wire diagrams I've seen says the brown/white matches up with a straight brown wire but I don't see that either.
Any ideas? Motor is factory stock.

Should plug into the brown/white lead at the boat wiring harness just below the 8 pin connector. I was not aware they still made a trim sender for the single ram mids.

There is nothing to plug into. I've looked multiple times, there is nothing that I can see. The previous post is probably the answer?

The boat side of the harness normally has 4 wires that come out from the base of the 8 pin cannon plug. If not, then you may have a seperate trim harness to the trim pump in the boat that includes the brown white lead. If you don t have that either, then you will have to run your own signal lead to the center post of the trim gauge

My shorty has no sender, is stock as far as I can tell. i used a Stainless Marine. It is a special 1 for the shorty.

Early model single ram swivel brackets had trim senders...if his shorty used an early one that was cut, it can be fitted w/ a sender. I think you can adapt a sender to a late model swivel bracket provided you have the slot in the upper ram pin.

Yeah......just stirrin the pot.
Its 100% correct that a factory ss will not have a trim sender. I assumed he had one installed and was looking for propper hookup. ...ASSUME....NOT
