I do not know where to look for this issue that I,ve been having for the past 5 to 6 weeks.

Ever since the beginning of this boating season, the engine keep itself warm, at the verge of the alarm.

On Idle, I do not get a huge pressure ( 5 psi ) and at high speed, I get 7 to 8 psi.

Today, I decided to take a look at it, foud the top gasket broken so I replaced it with a NEW coupler. Put everything back together no more pump pressure, not even a little water of the pee. The inside of the housing is almost prefect, little lines but not more that .002''

Re placed both gaskets, plate and impeller over a period of four hours ( take apart, re-assemble bis bis bis ) but still no pee at idle on hose.

This is a LWP Land and Sea.

There is NO obstruction whatsoever, anywhere...BUt the f...er does not prime itself on hose.

here is an update.

I dismantled the pump for an XXXX time and looked for all little details.

found that the plate is warped and not even straight anymore.

I managed to straighten it a little in the mean time and finally, I have a pumping function going on, the pressure is way low ( 2-3 psi on idle ) and still max 7psi on running (45 mph )

If I go above this 45 mph figure, the temp start to rise and the alarm sounds, ( 180*.

I do not want to end up with a frozen engine, this one has 41 hours from fresh rebuild.

I would start off by getting a water pump kit if the plate is warped it may not work correctly the kits are reasonably priced.
