We called them "Sea Fleas" when I grew up. I built one in my basement when I was a kid. Put a Mark 20 Merc on it. It flew. They are made out of 2 4 x 8 sheets of plywood basically. Not sure of the value.

Mine was called a "Minimax", built from plans we sent away for out of 'Parade Magazine' by my dad and I when I was 13 in '71 (which meant, he built most it , and I painted it  ;)). It was fun even with a 7.5, more fun with a 9.8. I kept mine as a kneel-down and steered with the tiller for simplicity's sake, and because I was light and had 13-yr-old knees. :D
My friends & I always talked about putting the proverbial "Hurricane 10" on it, but they weren't that easy to come by even back then. I only ran it about a season and a half, then moved on to something bigger. I will say, my old man built that thing like a brick sh*thouse. We sold it to some kid on the lake, I still saw it for years after.
I would say, that would be the main determinant of their worth - how well they were constructed.

Yep, MiniMax. A friend and I built one too. Pretty basic and crude, but great fun. Put an 18 Evinrude Fastwin on it, tiller steered.

I also had the MiniMost. My Dad and I built the frame work in the basement and assembled it in the garage. I had 1963 5 1/2 Johnson, 1959 10 Johnson and a 1969 18 Evinrude. I would go to Columbian Bronze to get 2 blade racing props for them. We made adjustable trim tabs for it.

Built a MiniMax and a MiniMosrt with my Dad, then a MiniMax with my brother in law and finally a MiniMax with my son. Fantastic young kid's boat. My son puled his brother (and vice versa) on a Hydroslide with a 9.8.
As said above, value depends on who built it and how well. I would not think a lot.

guy wants 250 for each one, seems like decent price, probably cost way more to build one!

I don't know but Thom was/is fearless! The Merc soon went on a Jacoby hydro, got a pic at speed here somewhere. Have to find it.

I also built the Maxi-Most which was a 12 foot version of the Mini-Most. I had a 35 Merc on it, sold it to a friend and he put a 48A Merc on it.

Minimax was my first boat I built and owned. Plans were in magazine like popular mechanics back in 1966 or so. As previously posted, made from 2 each 1/4"X 4 X 8 sheets of plywood. Great project and then great fun!
Plan an on building one with my grandchild!
