I need some opinions on my ethical dilema. I think I have acted honorably but I feel guilty.
In the spring of 2000, I made a handshake deal to buy a Voo Doo. Boat, motor, trailer. The delivery was delayed by engine woes. I caused more delay by looking into Mark's 650XS. Work on the 'deal' engine stopped while I looked.
The year 2000 went by with no delivery. Most of 2001 also went by. After Sept 11, while my life was in turmoil, I called to cancel the deal. (I commute from Windsor to Detroit. This was not so easy for a couple of months)
But then things turned normal and I turned around and bought a Voo Doo from another guy.
Do I have any obligation to the first seller?
