Hi all. . .. sold my mint GS, probably should have kept it! oh well. . . looking for my next toy, I'm thinking a MINT STV Euro, with or without power, but rigged for a merc. (although a sweet e-tec set up might persuade me haha) Would prefer with power, either 280 (fresh motor or close to) or really like a 300xs. Cant be slower then my old Allison, haha. I'm in MN, would ship if the right package came up. Not in a hurry, I have until next spring. Let me know what you got, PM works great on here. thanks everyone!!

So an update. . . . Narrowing the search, either a 300xs, or a short shaft mid 280 - trailer wise, though not needed, I can't escape how the tandems look, so really prefer a tandem axel. . . what's out there?

Thanks! if it's the one I thinking off, yellow trailer? I"ll be honest, it's close, but really looking for a 15 mid 280, and a different color combination. . . . catchy, but maybe not my style, i'm old school. . . . haha. . . .

Its tough to find a mint euro and one with a 15" transom is REALLY hard to find as few were made. Just something to keep in mind. There is really no performance or handling gain on a Euro with a 15. Just my opinion. Good luck with your search. A Triad, 280 combo is the perfect set up.
Ask Sufka if he has the guys number in Minnesota with the Summerford boat with the 20" 300 drag motor that came from up here. Maybe he would part with it.

i'll do that, darn Big Mike being quiet about his knowings! haha. . . . and i've been hearing not many transoms were cut for a 15 mid, correct me if i'm wrong, aren't guys able to run a different bracket to allow to mount a 15 mid on a 20 transom? i just like the look of a short, fat, black motor. . . . though a 300xs could be an option, lil heavy, but at least it's still black :-)

Yes you can get a Rapid Jack to run a 15" on a 20". Adds a bit more setback then most run but they still can be set up to run well. I agree on the looks.

Big Mike claims he's clueless about a STV in MN from your neck of the woods. . . i think he's had too much crown. . . haha. . . . still on the Euro hunt. . . guess i may even consider a 20 mid, but shorty offshores look and sound so much better. . .

You put a strong 3L on it and you won't be bored...I just got back from an 80 mile lunch run with my River Rocket. Cruise at 90 and roll up to 120+ at will. Its really too fast in these little STVs due to the fact that you just don't have time to react when you come up on rollers. If I was limited to one boat it would be a Wicked with an X or XS. They will run in the teens and can take so much water for their size.

Sounds like a blast, but you'd get killed in that thing on the chain that I run on. Poor Russ tucked his tail between his legs and followed me all the way across the chain. I only had my Talon 22 at the time.

wow it's hard to find a Clean, 280 powered Euro. . . some leads, but nobody actually wants to sell theirs quiet yet! so the hunt continues. . . . clean Euro, clean low hour 280, no purple, no teal, not a huge fan of yellow unless it's minor and paired with black or white. . . anyone with some info, let me know. . . .
