Skydog - Matt also has used these engines ( I believe on the advise after talking to Brad ) Matt has seemed pretty happy with his, monster of a motor on pump gas I can tell you that.

They have 40 engines in the shop at all time in various stages of rebuild. They expanded two years ago into a new much larger facility. He also has a Mercury Racing certified mechanic on staff. One of the few shops in the area that can claim that. He built some 1300 hp blower motors for me a few years ago. Loved them.

He's good people. His new shop is in Lakemoor. There's a reason people send engines from all over the country.....

my experience with bill from ateco has been HORRIBLE! my 540 long block was purchased in sept of 2015 and i still do not have my engine! 11k later and nothing bill! they wont even answer my phone call! customer service SUCKS!

Lesson 1 I learned was no money until the engine is ready and tested. If the builder does not carry the expense on his books he has no incentive to get'ur done. Been there done that.
