Hi,
After replacing a compressor I followed the instructions from the place I bought it from and put the engine into break in mode in order to prime the oil pump. I did it with the oil feed line disconnected at first, basically because I wanted to see what was happening to verify what was going on - the electric pump kicked on, it pumped for a bit - I thought "durr - hookup the oil line!" - I hooked up the oil line and it continued to pump for another 5-10 seconds but then it occurred to me "at what point is this going to stop?".. The pump had been running for like a solid 30 seconds and I was thinking it might be filling something with oil that shouldn't be, so shut it off.
How is this supposed to work and how long is it supposed to run?
Thanks,
Jon
