In the process of building a 22ft tunnel. The Question I have what are the advantage to haveing twins over a single and what combo is really the best all around combo to have. I wanted a single 400 ROS but it will not work on the boat because the mid section is to short and very hard to get in the states. So was going to put a single 4OOR on it. When a buddy of mine had mentioned why don't you put a pair of 200ROS on it. I have all ways had big HP inboard motors so the Outboard combo is new to me. Or does some body build a big hp 300 XS to run as a single.

What type of tunnel are you building? Weight will also play a factor along with hull shape for planing and running all out.

It's a 22t liberator.

You should get in touch with Wildman on this site, he sells and sets liberators up here in Fl. My recommendation for that hull would be to hunt down a 300x

Wildman, a member on here, is a Liberator dealer and can tell you anything and everything you would need to know.

The 22 Liberator has the same bottom as a 21. Twin 200's will be a turd. Don't waste your time or money! Regardless of what a lot of people on here think, a 300x IS NOT faster than a 300xs on these boats. They run exactly the same on a Liberator but the 300xs will get double the mileage.
