Need some advice on prop set up...361v ranger.. 175 Johnson gt... 27p 4 blade renegade on it now... Lookin for little more speed (67-68 on gps by myself at 5300 rpm) I feel like it's too much prop for the boat....bogs down on power loading..any suggestions on what I should try...

a 27 pitch 4 blade should not be to much pitch for that boat / motor combo if the boat is dry and the engine is running correctly, should have a fantastic holeshot.
your boat with that motor + additional 400 people/gear and fuel should be around 2000 lbs. (based on it being 1225 pounds + motor + 400 lbs people gear + 12 lbs fuel = 2063 lbs)
should be able to run a 31 pitch at 5250 rpm for around 75 mph

67 to 68 mph is fantastic for that power and hull.
However rpm is low. What is your prop to pad measurement? Do you have any setback?

Not sure bout the p to p measurement... Never checked it... Recently put a 25p 4 blade renegade on and the holeshot is awesome but is turning way more rpms now... Gotta play with it some...

What's the full throttle rpm and gps speed?
The pitot speedo is always off.

Now that it's got hot it runs mid 60s... Wide open 5500... Concerns me to run it that hard

I'd rather run it 5500 rpm then lug it around 5k.
Your slip with the 25 pitch is 7%
I'd say that's the best prop of them all.
Is your speed gps?

Yep speed is gps... Ran 67-68 in winter... Slowed a bit since it got hot
