Has anybody reworked (honed) 1973 Evinrude 135 or higher cylinders with the power head block remaining mounted on the engine - on the boat? Does it work? Is it easier or harder to get to the power head cylinders?

You will not be able to get a straight shot at the bottom two cylinders, nor will you be able to properly clean things up afterwards.

Thanks Flabum1017. It was just one of those "out-of-the-air" wild thoughts. I guess that it just isn't like working on a plain ole cast iron engine block. I am aware of Nicasil. BMW likes it in a spiral configuration in their cylinders. However, I'm sure that it isn't a "low cost" technique. I guess that I will forget the wild thought. Thank you. :)
