Boat is a 18' checkmate exciter w a 2.4l 200hp. My favorite prop is a worked 23 trophy. Has good holeshot, good midrange, and fastest top speed (75mph @ ~8k)of anything I've tried so far. My niece and nephews are now getting to the age of wanting to go tubing and skiing but I can't go slow enough to pull them. The slowest I can go while maintaining on plane is 35.
I'm thinking I need less pitch to bring the rpm up at those speeds and also something that helps keep the stern up. Hopefully it will also help keep the bow from pointing to the sky as I get going also. Is my thought process correct? Any suggestions on props to try?

I had a similar issue with a C-Mate Pulse 210 w/225 Evinrude. I usually ran a 24 Raker and would swap to an old 20 Raker I had for skis- this would run down to around 22 mph before falling off plane. If your Trophy is a Trophy Plus w/small hub then it's the prop venting over the small hub that is limiting how slow you can go. I'd suggest a plain old Merc Black Max aluminum for skiing- in around a 19 pitch. The Black Max has a lot less rake than the Trophy, which allows lower planing speeds- and it's a full size hub...and it's cheap and readily available.
